Bondix Hosted Services provide managed Bondix server infrastructure for WAN bonding deployments. They allow supported Bondix Clients to connect to a hosted Bondix endpoint without requiring the user to install, operate, secure, or maintain their own Bondix Server.
Hosted Services are intended for deployments where fast provisioning, reduced operational complexity, and predictable server-side operation are more important than full control over the Bondix Server environment.
Instead of manually configuring all server parameters, supported clients can usually be connected by using a QuickConnect Code. The QuickConnect Code contains or references the required connection information for the hosted Bondix endpoint and simplifies the initial client provisioning process.
A Bondix Hosted Service consists of a hosted Bondix Server instance or hosted Bondix server-side environment that terminates one or more Bondix Client tunnels.
The Bondix Client runs on supported customer-premises hardware, such as a router or compatible gateway device. The client establishes tunnel connections over the available WAN interfaces and connects them to the hosted Bondix infrastructure.
Depending on the client configuration and available WAN links, Bondix can use multiple access networks simultaneously, for example:
The hosted Bondix endpoint aggregates these links and provides a bonded data path towards the internet or the configured service endpoint.
With a self-hosted Bondix Server, the customer or integrator is responsible for installing and maintaining the server-side component. This includes server provisioning, updates, firewall configuration, routing, monitoring, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
With Bondix Hosted Services, the server-side component is provided as a managed service. The user primarily configures the client side.
